Carolyn L. Beyersdorf, has been the owner of the Decorating Den Interiors franchise in Toledo, Ohio since March 1, 2012. As such, she is part of North America's largest interior design and home furnishings franchise company.
She represents more than 85 suppliers offering her customers furniture, case goods, accessories, lighting, floor and wall coverings, draperies and other hard and soft window treatments. Carolyn takes samples directly to her client's home or office, provides complimentary design services, and personally see projects through to completion. Her extensive choice enables her to work within a wide range of budgets and lifestyles. Her priority is finding creative solutions to interior design problems that make spaces personal and special for her clients.
Carolyn is a member of the International Interior Design Association and is certified with the National Council of Interior Design Qualification. In the past, she has been an affiliate member of the American Institute of Architects. She is also a current member of the Madison Avenue Chapter of BNI, the Better Business Bureau and The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce.
Her previous experience includes many years practicing commercial interior design in Ohio and Michigan as well as internationally in Panama and Jamaica. For 15 years she was an interior designer at various Herman Miller dealerships doing corporate and health care facilities such as: Interior Environments; Office Pavilion, APG; and the Advantage Pavilion. She also spent two years working for Tibbet, Inc., a Toledo-based Systems Furniture manufacturer where she gained her international experience. She spent over six years working as an interior designer for The Collaborative Inc., a Toledo-based architectural firm, specializing in higher education, corporate and religious facilities. Carolyn also spent over four years working as a resource consultant in the Toledo Satellite Office of Continental Office Environments, a Herman Miller dealership based in Columbus, Ohio.
Carolyn is married to her husband Tom and they have two children. She enjoys art, theater, music, the outdoors, boating and travel. She's very excited to have her own business and be able to do such a wide variety of interior design. Carolyn is very passionate about her work, dedicated to the creative process, and engaged in designing your home or office to its greatest potential.
